What is Ford origin and history?

In 1913, grocer George Butler Chapman turned his passion for cars into one of the first Ford dealerships in central Ohio. Four generations later, his family continues to run this well-respected auto dealer.

After World War II, Ford retooled its trucks. Its new design removed them from their car platforms and created purpose-built truck architecture. The result was a line of eight different models, from the 1/2 ton F-1 to the three-ton capacity F-8. The company’s F-series became the best selling vehicles in America.

During the Cold War, Ford was accused of collaborating with dictatorships and hiring gangsters to intimidate union leaders. The company was also accused of using its factories to produce weapons for both sides.

In recent years, Ford has been improving its safety record by introducing advanced features such as the airbag, rearview camera and stability control. It has also been implementing virtual crash testing, which maximizes the amount of data available. This technology is used in conjunction with physical testing, allowing Ford to make more informed decisions about the safety of its products.
